Develop Industry for Legacy Fruits & Vegetables

Every geological cross section on Earth has a particular characteristic by the virtue of natural resources like fruits, vegetables, and plants. Such natural resources are used to support the livelihood of the local residents, but now with the advancement of civilization, such natural resources are being used to transform these into industrial and edible products, which are consumed by the entire world.

We need to verify if we are utilizing the full potential of all natural resources available in our hometown district and if not, then we need to bridge the gap between availability and consumption by creating new industries and facilities.

This will further help to promote new enterprises, which will in turn improve the economy of our hometown district.

All interested townmates from our district can brainstorm on this concept and make it happen.

You also can suggest different ways to develop this concept by using “Suggest Topic” feature.

We can use following sources of information and the outcome of the brainstorming discussions to compile the final layout of this project, so that every townmate can explore the opportunity to start their own enterprise.

  1. Government Departments
    1. Statistics of quantity of natural resources (fruits and vegetables) available in the district and how much of available resources are being converted into the sellable product. For example,
      1. Currently, how much Chikku is grown in the district of Palghar and what is the maximum potential that Chikku can be grown in the district.
      2. What more resources and infrastructure are required to cultivate the remaining capacity.
      3. How many industries are currently in operation, who use Chikku as the raw material for their final (processed and industrial) product.
      4. How many more industries can be established to use or consume the full capacity of Chikku’s potential for INDUSTRIAL products.
  • Chamber of Commerce of the district
    • What programs or plans does the Chamber of Commerce have, at present, to promote industries based on District’s main flagship fruits and vegetables.
    • Is there any study available about what different industrial products can be manufactured by using District’s flagship natural fruits and vegetables?
    • Can the chamber of commerce identify the gap between the current industrial product production capacity and maximum possible potential?
    • Can we develop a new program or guidance for young entrepreneurs, budding as well as established, to develop new industries to meet this gap?
  • National and International Townmate and Experts
    • Highly educated, well experienced townmates around the world with successful track record can suggest other innovative products that can be developed using the flagship fruits and vegetables of the district.

We can do a similar study for other natural produce in the district.
